Progress on the new fish room is doing well. The entire 3
car garage has been insulated, walls and ceiling. Today I will cover all the
insulation with plastic sheathing. This should create a vapor barrier to avoid
any moisture in the garage. Yesterday I received my new Linear Piston Air
Compressor. According to the manufacturer the pump draws about the same
electricity as a one hundred watt light bulb but has enough pressure to run over
100 tanks at depths below about inches. This will be more than I will need in
the new fish room. I also purchased my corner box filters as well as all my PVC
air valves. Today (8/3/05) most of my new tanks will be arriving. I will be
using 10 gallon tanks for fry rearing and 5 1/2 for my breeding
tanks. I will be painting the bottoms of all my tank a dark grey as I did in my
old fish room. My friend Gene Baudier will be arriving the week after next to
help me get thing going as well as bring me my new breeders.
Sept. 25, 2005
The new fish room is 90% complete. When completed it will house about 100 tanks,
36 will be five and a half gallon tanks, the rest will be all ten gallon tanks.
I am also growing Water Sprite and Anacharis in all my breeding tanks. The water
at my new location is much more suitable for aquatic plants. New breeding stock
has been acquired over the past 6 weeks and I have several litters of H/B AOC's,
Gold Reds, Japanese Grass, Red Albinos and Full Reds. Other strains acquired for
my breeding program are Purples, H/B purples, H/B Blues, Blues and Albino
Cobras. I expect to be able to have stock ready sale by April of this year.

Michelle and I are going to California to visit her
son in the Air Force. He is stationed in Monterey. After a day in Monterey we
will be driving south to Santa Monica to meet Michelle's girlfriend who she has
not seen in close to 25 years. If things go as plan we will spend the day on the
Santa Monica Pier.
The next day Michelle and I will be heading north to several wineries and site
seeing in and around Buellton, CA We have mapped out a very similar tour of
several wineries and restaurants that were in the Oscar nominated movie
"Sideways". After completing the wine tours we head north up Scenic Hwy 1 and
hope to visit the Hearst Castle. We will then continue our trip back to Monterey
to spend several days with Michelle's son Michael. From there he is taking us to
San Francisco and Chinatown. We will be returning home to Sebring on Oct. 12.
Dec 2005
The weather here in South Florida has been ideal for the guppies. Using a small
ceramic heater has helped for some of the cooler nights. Daytime temperatures
have been between 70 to 80 degrees. I recently obtained newer longer lasting
heat packs for winter shipping. Due to the extreme cold spell up north I have
postponed shipping until December 12th. for those effected areas. due to
overwhelming response for my special "Holiday" package some strains are selling
out. Michelle and I wish everyone a Healthy and Joyous Holiday.
January 2007
Thought it was time to update my website. This past year brought many changes, some good and some not. Coping with a late winter from 2006 was one I want to forget. Here in Mid-Florida nightly temperatures dropped several time and caught me by surprise. Several strains suffered to the point that I began to loose interest. I finally made a decision to begin anew and with the help of several good friends I acquired new breeding stock. I am more prepared this winter and expect to have several line going by late February. If all goes well I hope to have breeding stock available for sale that is equal to the strains I lost. My good friend Gene Baudier has several of my popular strains this will be of great encouragement.
Keep checking my homepage for updates as well as information to the status of my new hatchery.
CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW GUPPIES &
showguppies.com
INTRODUCTION
All the guppies listed are raised and bred in our brand new
modern hatchery in Sebring, Florida. I have been breeding guppies for
over thirty years and we exhibit our guppies in most IFGA shows as well as the
European show circuit. I have been awarded many World Class Championships as
well as numerous Best of Show awards over my many years of competition. I am a
current certified judge for the IFGA. Many of our strains are currently being
bred and exhibited by numerous breeders throughout the world.
All breeding stock are sold in trios of one male and two females of the same
pure strain. Custom orders can be filled. Virgin females if desired can be
purchased, depending on availability. My wife Michelle and I maintain over 100
hundred tanks of show guppies. We only breed show guppies. We are not
jobbers or distributors of fish foods or dry goods or other pet or guppy related
paraphernalia. We ship only young guppies of
prime breeding age which is 3 to 5 months old. We will never sell over the hill
breeders or mismatched stock as many other mail order breeders will. All the
strains that we offer for sale breed true and comes with our guarantee. Before
purchasing guppies elsewhere ask the other breeders what they will guarantee and
what percentage from every litter are actual show quality. Many other mail order
guppy suppliers have never participated in or have never shown their guppies. Our
hatchery is open to everyone from the novice to the advanced hobbyist. Call in
advance to arrange a visit, you will not be disappointed. If you need to speak
to us about ordering or strain availability the best time to call is weekdays
between 11:00am to 6:00pm.
